I know what you mean. After my grandparents’ death, it took me one year before I was able to talk to anyone about them (silly and dramatic as it may sound), in a steady voice without my eyes brimming with tears. In fact, now (even if not very often), I have my private cries when I suddenly recount certain memories, sometimes even in the midst of driving from home from work!
Nevertheless, I take comfort that the reason why I pine and grieve is because I have been blessed with much time previously to get to know and love them. The good news is, time does heal. The hurt will be gradually replaced by fondness as nostalgic memories are relived.
*hugs* Missing the dearly departed is natural and you are not alone.

I believe in that too - you’ll get to see the people you love after you die. At least I hope that’s what happens when I kick the bucket. But from a pragmatic point of view, even it it doesn’t happen it’ll still be alright since I’ll not be conscious at all.

awww, you poor thing *pat on the back*. I feel so sad just reading bout it, my throat just tightens into a ball. It is really difficult to cope with a loss so sudden. It’s almost like they never really left. My take is just cry whenever you feel like it - it doesn’t mean you are weak or anything - it’s just a process that everyone has to go through to eventually heal. there will be a point where you will only think of her and actually smile about the happy days you’ve shared, rather than counting on the days you don’t get to be with her. Cheer up yea ^^

Ahh. i remember those exact emotions when my one and only living grandmother died.. i guess it’s a comon feeling for all of us that have lost loved ones. she died when i was eleven - and yet i somehow felt all the same feelings that you are feeling at 21. and i never imagined i would be sad or anything after she died because i wasn’t exactly the most doting grandchild but i suddenly realized that she wouldn’t be there to see me grow up, yet she had seen most of my cousins leap past their teenage years.. and for me it felt the worst during the days of the wake, where everybody would be buzzing around with preperations for the burial. the only solution to these empty feelings is the fact that time heals all wounds. it will feel better it took me about a year.. HEH. its okay though, i’m sure shes looking down from up there and smiling at the many things you’re achieving

Time heals all wounds. Heartbreaks heals faster with rebound relationships.
jo: ah, i know. but I’m still in a happy relationship.

Comment on Loving Tofu, Malls and Boutiques. by Cindy
Hi, I was wondering what state you’re in? I have never seen a store with soooooo many hannari tofu plushies. I love them too and I live in California of Orange County and we have little stores with the plushies but not a lot of varieties of the plushies. We have the basic green, pink, and yellow tofus but I haven’t see those rare ones before like the sesame and the seaweed wrapped ones. I love them! Also are there any car accessories as well?

I want to be your first patient when you graduate. I have really horrible teeth and am thinking about getting it bleached due to the stains caused by my rampant drinking of coffee and inhalation of tar and nicotine containing substances.
I swear I’ll be your worst nightmare for a patient.
jo: lol ah, i’m sure it’s not very scary. Unless you have maligned teeth and periodontal problems then those …are scary!

hello jolene !
I’ve never heard of this fiberwig mascara before, but the way you describe it, it sounds ALOT like my Maybelline lash extension mascara, which also has rubbery bits and make your eyelashes really long. but cheaper la of course.
clump proof & contact lens safe also. haha
you might wanna try it too? =D it costs around 20+ in watson & guardian stores…
jo: hehehe yes yes will definitely try it. thank you for your suggestion!

Hi! I just stumbled upon your blog during my search in google typing “hannari tofu”!… I so just happen to love them as well! Just knew about them few months ago, and I’m very excited to getting more of their merchandices..wondering whether you could help me by providing the website which sells them in Malaysia or Singapore? I just bought my apartment with my boyfriend, and I’m planning to flood all my tofus in the apartment! could you kindly kindly kindly please help me before he regrets on agreeing to allow me to do so??? (It’s quite hard for him to disagree since I got a few of the tofu plushies and he likes to hug them as much as me.. hehe:P) Would love it if you could send it via my email… Hopefully you could help me.. thanks!

OMG OMG OMG. The fiberwig is my favourite mascara in the whole world! Coz I have short crappy lashes as well :(.
I usually curl –> fiberwig–>a volumising mascara. My eyes go vavavavoom!!! I’ll probably get a mascara base with fibers to get xtra xtra long lashes…
jo: Ohh! so fiberwig shouldn’t be used alot. i see, i see…

I tell you one “secret”…layer it on top of Kate mascara base….the mascara base has white fibers that extends your lashes by a lot…add this one and it’s extra extra long. I think it costs RM29 in Watson’s. And the mascara base itself curls my lashes and keeps the curl in, unlike Fiberwig, which seems to kill all manner of curls.

Greetings Jolene! I’ve been out of rehab for a while now, but have been rather busy with work so I haven’t actually told anyone it’s been up for a while, more like a word of mouth thing. It’s great to be back!
Nice mascara! It’s fun to review the things you actually like - you put your heart into it, like the stuff I used to review, which shall not be mentioned now.
Much love.
Comment on Deja Vu Fiberwig Mascara: An Answer To Prayers Of Girls With No Eyelashes Everywhere by rachel
not really that nice! have been using it for a few months and stopped a few months ago cuz the fiber thingy kept falling off! which is kinda messy. maybe it’s not meant for long hours
Comment on Overcoming Single Eyelids? by James
You looked great before you put on the glue and afterwards. Beauty, as well as what is considered to be femine are extremely volatile concepts anyway. Today, dinner plate eyes are popular, tomorrow all the kids might be shoving batteries up their nose. If you spend your life fixated on the winds of change, you’re going to end up with sand… or glue in your eyes.

Hey vss3t, the fiberwig is not as hard to remove as mentioned in the shows. what u could do is to run ur lashes under the shower with luke warm water from the heater. it would be gone in seconds! basically luke warm water will do. i hope i helped
Comment on Deja Vu Fiberwig Mascara: An Answer To Prayers Of Girls With No Eyelashes Everywhere by vss3t
hey jolene! how’s the removing part for the mascara? izit easy to remove? as what i have learnt and watched from this Taiwan’s Women show rite, those makeup artists voted this as the hardest mascara to remove.
I’ve got myself a Maybelline XXXL ( the purple packaging ones, it’s triple btw, not the normal black/white tube ones) and it’s SOOOOOO good and and have curl effect so much and removing it is juz by friction + warm h2o. how nice?
=DD
