the roach have shifted
hey peeps, after almost 3 years of inconsistent blogging, the roach is moving to a greener and more slimier long kang.as you know with blogspot, the entries are free for all to view, it's kinda restricting on what you can and what you can't say.so it's on to a more secure, personal and "more liberal in speech" site.
of the Myers-Briggs test
first did this test in poly, then in 2005 and just did it again (less than 5 mins ago)still the same profile. INTJ.so what are you?
of my new mp-san player
my current iriver t10(512MB) has served me well for the past 2yrs and an upgrade was in the works.saw a reasonably priced new player on the block and got it after doing some research.initally it was suppose to be the iriver clix 2 (8GB) but due to the sheer price of it, decided on the iriver x20(4GB) insteadhere is my new toy!kinda regretted not getting the 8GB version. ah well...it would have meant more money anyway. so i will just make do =)review: it is pretty easy to use with the software bundle and all, the player is surprisingly light and the battery lifespan is pretty good. lithium batt is replaceable and rechargeable. screen resolution is pretty good and 1 of the many plus points is the external speakers which allows your friends to listen to the songs without plugging in the earphones. neat!
of pure madness, madness, madness
the way way overdue update i mentioned since the 20thi stuck my arm up a cow's arse during prac classes while the cow contracted on my arms and poo-ed at the same time, yes, i kena poo on the arm, luckily not on the overalls.and since the holidays started, to summarize: last saturday marks the last Japanese for beginners class and as well as the start of my 1 pathetic week break from school. it was the kopi yesterday, today it is the teh.wth... bad headache..no Panadol for mua...watched "The In-Laws" and "The Great Challenge" (sort of a sequel to "Yamakasi", and no..."Yamakasi" is not Japanese, it is a French flim)i'll pick "The Great Challenge" out of the 2 =)the upcoming week is suppose to be a sunny one, keeping mua feelers crossed.
dis rainy days keeps insanity awake
been raining hell lot for the past week. 1 test down now, 2 more to go, plus 1 presentation and 1 group essay before the intra-sem break hits.crazy ktv sessions which left me dangerously sleep deprived =P & not to mention a ridiculously overpriced yam cha session yesterdaycrazy movie-watching too for the record;"The Thin Red Line" was boring and too wordy"Apocalypto" was "what the hell?!?" and you have this male protagonist running for his life throughout the length of the movie"Save the Last Dance" was pretty a-ok, society issues and romance"The Prince & Me" is your typical teeny-booper flick"A Sound of Thunder" was good, if you like those "back to the past" & sci-fic themes"The Covenant" was cool comparable to "Underworld", better than X-Men, not that i'm a fan of X-Men (with the exception of The Beast, intellectual man or beast is fine with me)Watched "Ghost Rider" sometime back, that was pretty good too. Finally, a watchable Nicholas Cage movie since "The Rock".Finished another Matthew Reilly's Contest, this time.Booze free for a week!
i had a dream...
twice now....sheeshh.....anatomy & histology quiz in 14hours...good luck to myself!
of human nature
this week had been highly amusing, "human manipulation" at its lousiest.i do not tolerate doing "sai gan" and i will not hesitate to say so. esp if that came from a certain immature albino-ated monkey like "Miss Princess"i guess you can't expect much from monkeys. esp immature young monkeys. HA!just ranting here..back with more...soon... i guess..watched "The Departed" & "The Lake House" earlier this week. Not too bad, but "Infernal Affairs" was better and as for "The Lake House", pretty predictable towards the end. but still...it is still kinda far-fetched???ARGHH...back to the A&P....
just this evening
finish another Matthew Reilly's novel, Temple, this time..i'm pretty sure i read it before, maybe 3years ago??...well nevermind...haha....couldn't remember the storyline anyway, only bits and pieceswill be getting more of his novels in school now...if only i am that "勤勞" for my school work...ah well...tomorrow is the start of yet another school week... lights turned amber and soon to red.better stop monkeying around like i always tell myself that, but never get down to it
Fire, Water, Wood & the rest
i thought that if i don't start writing about the past 2 weeks' events, i will most probably forget everything before the end of this week. ha!in short:Rain - was crazy for the past 2 weeks, with rain almost everyday and strong wind, and i thought it was the ending of winter...far from it..it seems~~ crossing fingers for good weather this coming week, haven been shooting hoops for the past 1 week.Fire - the lodge finally had a REAL fire, after dunno how many umpteen times of false alarms, the real mojo came on a tuesday late night (technically wednesday early wee morning at 0100hrs), was settling in the bed and really my then-latest novel, "Scarecrow" went the alarm went off, initially slow but gradually progressed to an urgent sounding 1, hence i packed up my VIB (verri important belongings) and headed down the fire stairs to the exterior of the building. fast forwarding all the events in between, i managed to get back to my room at 0300hrs. wasted 2 hours, no thanks to the idiot who most probably threw a smoking article into a luckily unoccupied room on level 2.Wood - finished yet another book in 3 seatings, Matthew Reilly's "Scarecrow", highly recommended. very fast and intriguing novelSchool - the bunch of us came up with these 2 new terms, namely, "Chucks" & "Duckens". While talking over lunch about the "not-so-glam" sidelines of the MC students over in Brighton. the conversation led to talks on "free-range poultry" and "barn poultry", with the hens known as the "Chucks" and the roosters known as the "Duckens", it's a hybrid thing, you know.if i have lost you in the above paragraph, it's alright. haha.Manchester United - the new season of EPL has started and i have been following the scores online quite frequently. A not so good start for the Devils, they lost (again!) in the Manchester Derby (shitified!!) and good o' reliable Scholesy scoring the only United goal to date, what the hell is going on ??!!??Prac Classes - have finally started on Fridays, 24th was the 1st session; handled the sheeps and they were pretty easy once you have managed to floor them [yes, literally "floored" them] haha!Tests - are coming up fast, OMFG.... better jia youJap Class - pretty good so far, but i have been lazy to recognize the Hiragana characters..haha...see if i have the time anot lah ah...haha...we will seetill the next post, ja mata ne~~current temp : 20C
today has been a sunday
so many new albums out, so little time to listen.the pull-up-my-sock-and-study day was a flop, ended up playing ball for 2hrs.and currently almost finish reading "Marley & Me". shessh.it's been a long time since i can pick up a book and finish reading it in less than 5 sittings.ultimately, it is myself i disappoint, no?ponderin' mua :"everyone talks, but who really listens?"current temp : 14C
yet another week gone by
the week came by quickly, and in celebration of the nation's birthday, we had a mini gathering cum potluck at a friend's place on the 9th... some of the spread included sardine roti john, meat pies, salad pasta, fried finger food and sweet potato soup... might have been others but i can't really remember.oh ya, we watched the live telecast on the Net, was pretty much lagging half the time thou ~Friday came and i didn't head for the booze and ktv this time =) instead a small bunch of us went for the free BBQ at rooftop and later adjourned for a chill session of playing cards and guitar at a friend's room which we finished off with a coffee session at Badde Manors ending the night at around one-ish....today was a lazy day as well, had lunch at a newly opened Singapore Cafe by a coursemate's bro's friend & family (yeah, very far-off affiliation, i know), $8 for a plate of Hainanese Chicken Rice, pretty good, but will watch the frequencies of eating there. haha. trying to keep the expenses down this semester.after which, headed to the famed Bondi Beach with 4 other friends and a dog =P, nothing much really, waves weren't high today, bet the surfers surf also sibei sianthink tomorrow will be a try-to-pull-up-my-socks-and-study dayWish me luck ~~~current temp : 21C [getting warmer now, we were wandering on the beach in shorts and flip flops]
hazy aftermaths ??

Have you got the Fever?!?
Satay Night Fever at 7pm later! free local comfort makan and wine to go along (pai sei hor, wine is BYO, not FOC, hahha!!)weather was pretty hot for the past 2 days, but turned much colder today as there were showers in the late morning till afternoon.had YET another ktv session, siao gina bo!!! =D but i really think it has been too much ktv, kena overloaded liao. will guai guai go tak my che for the upcoming weekend and the week to follow.oh ya, had the 1st gross anatomy dissection yesterday, fresh "sample", i named "him" Brownie, he is a Staffordshire Bull Terrier. will not go into the details as to what i did to him, but let's just say we had to examine the respiratory tract from the frontal sinus to the different aspects of the lung lobes.practical was good but also tiring. haha!current temp : 13C
Week Duo...
the event last week was not bad, chit chatted with a bunch of peeps till the wee morning. was initially kind of "stunned", overwhelmed by the no. of people crowding in the small apartment.haven laughed that much in 1 night, really =)also had a couple of cups of wine =Pmet more new people =Dcoming up is Satay Night on Friday!week 2 of school, have to pick up the momentum liao....tomorrow is a loooonnnggg day....end school at 1pm but there is a group study after that and a Whaling Awareness Talk back in school at 6pm [that cost me 12 buckaroos, better be worth it!]more details later.currently: 22C [today was pretty hot, i guess it is just the absence of the wind]

3rd day since i'm back
watched 3 movies on the flight home, "Blood Diamond", "200 pound beauty" and "天行者"have to say, they were all pretty good. recommended watch!been kind of a breathless 3 days (technically 2.3 days), passing stuff to the relevant people, running errands and get down to Resolution 3 for the year and also la kopi-ing at the favourite hangout YEAH!and yesh! i cut mua hair liao. and it's really how i mentioned i will cut it (some people might know). haha! for those that dun know, it's like TANK's hairstyle (the guy with the contact lense ad on channel8), only the fringe is shorter lah!watched Transformer earlier this evening, not too bad i will say, special effects is there, would rate a 8/10.sidetrack abit, i used to have an Optimus Prime toy while i was young. lolz.getting a breather tonight, thats why i can blog~ haven been sleeping enough too, hence i'm snoozing away on the MRT or bus while traveling around for the past 2 days.will upload some pics tomorrow. will enjoy the rest of the night with a cuppa coffee and my copy of 热情仲夏 and also watch you tube (no more worries about the bandwidth for the next 3 weeks)reading Stephen J. Cannell 's Cold Hit meantime.... people into thriller novels should check him out. he is a good author.P.S : people, i only have 1 SG hp no. liao, which is the 1 with alot of "9's" in it. the old no. (9823 ...) is no longer in use.P.S.S: just realized, i haven been to TM or CS yet. LOL.
it's over! and i am coming home!
[[Warning: this is going to be a long post, don't read it unless you have eaten your meal/ gone to the toilet and done your business/ done your homework/ done your "brought home" officework, you have been sufficiently warned.....]]the exams came to a conclusion with a 1 hour rotational styled VAP practical examination. 17 stations. 5 rest stations. 4 parts to each station. and only 1hr. Ji Tao Power!madness really. i heard that some other vet school doesn't have practical exams in year1. how come i so suay sia?!?think can pass the VAP prac not with flying colours definately. cuz i didnt really study for it. no mood lah... after the mad dash to study for the main VAP paper the day before. sleeping a total of 1.5hrs only (and i calculated i slept only a maximum of 4hrs in 48hours, trying to cram the entire module in 2days). >it was kinda funny while during and after the VAP paper, scan around and i see the majority of the class looking very disheveled, haggard, ash-white in the facein other words "shitified"and the % of dark eyes/ eye bags was almost 100%, including muaself. i couldnt help it but laugh. haha! VAP is really a love-to-hate, hate-to-love relationship. times i want to cry 'cuz of the amount of stuff you have to remember and laugh 'cuz of the fact that i actually love doing all these shite.the bunch of us that have been gathering in my room for studies for the last 2 weeks decided that we arent going to go through dis shite routine again. therefore next sem we are going to do constant revision. heard from seniors, that in yr1 you can still afford to cram at the last min but starting yr2 there will be too much to do it last min, not possible even if you don't freakin' sleep for the entire study break period.scary thought.....*shudders*moral of the story is : don't do last minute studies (something everyone is guilty of, i dare you say not!!) provided you are hardcore nerd and you have no life, HAHAlast night, a few of us rented some dvds and bought some drinks, we watched "Battle Royale" the original version (if the Toad is reading this, "yes, i finally watched it after dunno how many donkey years later after hearing about it from you" CMI i know i know, haha)and i recognized the lead actor in BR; none other than the actor who was casted as 夜神 月 in DeathNote.BR is kinda funny, i thought it would have been scary giving all the killing that was suppose to be going on. But the bunch of us watching was laughing throughout the entrie movie, partly due to the music that was being played during the daily annoucements reporting the latest killings.the 2nd movie was Saw 2, not too bad i would say. but all the trouble just to get the detective? abit the "duh" ah...rented Saw 3 & The Prestige too, but we decided that it was enough for the night, brains were all overloaded and oxygen starved for the last 3 weeks or so, too much "thinking" movies in 1 night will really kill it. HAHAI really like The Prestige, don't mind watching it twice over. For those who haven't watched it. I highly recommend! Thumbs Up![AF gang, maybe you guys can consider the movie for the marathon @ Cow's, although afew have already watched it, sure some others haven watched it?]have started on 1 of my resolutions earlier this sem, picked up a club in school, now for the 2nd resolution, i have signed up for a language class, no prize for guess which lah... everyone in SG was into this language back afew years ago "very the 哈日" they call it. haha. we will see how it goes, it's just an intro class.hopefully i can complete the last resolution before i get back to Sydney at the end of the month.chanced upon this taiwan talent time show "超级星光大道", has been going on since the beginning of the year. rather good show, keep an eye out for "迷幻宥嘉", this 19 year old 花莲 native. very powerful voice, his name is "林宥嘉" actually. haha.check out this vid and see for yourself, duet with 康康, song entitled "到不了"going back to SIN in 3 days! feels unreal! going to enjoy myself as a tourist for the next few days, check out some stuff in city, sad to say i haven't seen much of Sydney since i got here. lol. life revolves alot around afew places, mainly my neighbourhood, the school, Chinatown, George's Street occasionally. Sad right!heading out for awhile to explore the QVB area, clear the head, breath the cold air. winter time.P.S : i forgot to mention whole new personal record for muaself [4hrs sleep in 48hrs], the previous record was [8hrs sleep in 48hrs back in '99]. haha!!! siao liao....Oh ya, Absolut Cut is not too bad. I don't remembering seeing Absolut Cut in SG, is there any? if not, i don't mind buying some back.Any recommendations for DFS Shopping? i say first, i buying for myself. haha, but don't mind sharing what i bought.
has always been
a solitary walk.....
